A new year in Studio Underwerket

Yesterday I started up in the studio again. We have started this year by cleaning, throwing out things and changing the look in some of the studio.
I am throwing so many old things out, that there will be so much space to fill out with new and exciting projects. I am sure some good unexpected thing will show up within the next couple of weeks after our cleaning.
Hello 2014 - we are ready for you.

Jenny Wilson, Studio life, Alt for Damerne" and Graphic Designer Fie Sahl

It is Friday and our studio looks so cosy with decorations put up by graphic designer Fie Sahl for her reception yesterday. Graphic Designer Fie Sahl recently started in our creative studio. We all welcome her and looks forward to be inspired by her graphic style.

In the new issue of the danish Magazine "Alt for Damerne" you can see one of my Christmas illustration. I have all ready done four other Christmas illustration for the magazine this year. And the next couple of weeks you will see some more drawing from me in their magazine.

Today we are listening to Jenny Wilsons latest Album and next year we will go and be captured by her wild music  live in Vega.

Making garlands in our little fabric

December is soon to come. Garland time…..So we have got a lot of Christmas orders from customers and shops worldwide. That means our little factory is working like crazy.
We drink coffee from Pate Paté and eat dark chocolate from Summerbird  

Copenhagen is a bit grey these days, so we try to be surrounded by colors.

Urban Nomads -

These days me and the family have been living like Urban Nomads. Staying a couple of days in the studio, but not the worst place to stay. It has actually been really cosy. We have friends from Amsterdam living in our home.

Birds in a Tree - BLUE and studio life

My print "Birds in a tree - BLUE" is featured in the danish magazine "Alt Interiør" right now. I am so glad to see it in good company. You can buy the print here. 

Today we enjoy flowers, tea and french easy listening music. And we have sun over Copenhagen. LOVE.

Going through my sketches - I LOVE analog work.

These days I am going to my sketches to find different decorative elements for some illustrations. I am also getting my new easel and getting my corner ready for some more time together with my paintings and analog work. I pay a tribute to analog work at the moment, it kind of makes me happy.

The next two days I have an extra little man in the studio. He is making his own art - doing a large painting and coloring chestnuts. It is so cosy to have company by this little guy, and it melts my heart to be so in love with painting.

A week full of Illustration jobs

This week will be busy with a bunch of illustration jobs. So I will take out my big sketch book, and make my pencils ready for a drawing week.
The café latte is ready and lots of organic dark menthe chocolate is on my desk. And Bonobo is playing  in the studio.

This week we have sweet Björk as trainee in the studio.She is going to help us with different things - lucky us.

Dreaming about Moroccan carpet named Beni Quarain

Today and many other days I am dreaming about having a Moroccan carpet named Beni Ouarain in our studio. I want to buy it at Kirsten Fribert, as soon as possible. It would look good in the studio.

Bulletin Boards in Studio Underwerket

We do have a lot of bulletin boards in our fantastic studio. We love looking at all the different colors, fabrics, notebooks - all kinds of inspiration stuff.

We are doing embroidery in the studio

These days we are doing embroidery, embroidery and embroidery in studio Underwerket. Both in black and pink. Getting ready for meeting tomorrow.

Grapping some books from my shelf before I leave early today. Going home to do my embroidery quilt. But I am a lucky person, to have sweet good assistant Marie who sits on this green bench doing embroidery for me.

Garland by Lisa Grue-Denis Sytmen are being produced.

Right now all our garlands are being produced in Denmark, here in our studio. We thank sweet Marie for making a lot of things possible for us.
