Wednesday night TASCHEN Copenhagen joined in the busy celebrations of the opening of the Copenhagen Fashion Week with a Pop up Gallery and a book signing event. Together with my dear old colleague Wendy Plovmand and I did the booksigning of Illustration Now! Portraits from Taschen, where we both are handpicked to participate.
We both displayed our colourful and edgy prints using a mixture of flowers, animals, patterns and a play with words. Not only did we both exhibit our framed prints but we also gave a taste of how we both use other materials, I with my plates, t-shirts and bags and Wendy with her delicate silk scarves.
Around 100 curious customers of all ages popped in to see what was going on, enjoying a cooling drink whilst browsing around the shop/pop up gallery to meet and to talk to us and getting their copy of Illustration Now! Portraits signed.
The next week you can see our work displayed in the Taschen Store in Copenhagen.
